The purpose of the study was to develop an electronic purse system that will allow students to have cashless transactions within the University. It was initially tested and aimed to be implemented in the Marketing Center where students usually purchase uniforms and books. The study was conducted from November 2014 to April 2016 at Cavite State University -Main Campus. Rapid Application Development was used as the software development methodology. 100 software evaluation sheets based on ISO 9126 were distributed to 100 participants composed of the three (3) employees of Marketing Center and students of Cavite State University for the evaluation of the application software.
The software was evaluated and all criteria and objectives were satisfied. The final software has undergone of testing to ensure the accuracy of its function. The software evaluation got the overall mean of 4.30 and a standard deviation of 0.75. Based on the results, the study showed that the software was interpreted as excellent in user friendliness, user interaction and technical aspects of the software.
