This study was conducted to determine the preference and utilization of communication channel used by the millennials in building relationships.

It used descriptive method of research and convenience sampling to come up with 50 participants (25 couples). It was conducted within the City of Dasmarinas in the province of Cavite from January 2017 to February 2017. The study used survey sheets in gathering the data needed, which were later tallied, tabulated, organized and analyzed.
The result of the study showed that millennials used computer-mediated communication more frequently than face-to-face communication. However, millennials still prefer face-to-face as the most effective communication channel when building relationships. The study also showed that millennials preference was affected because of the factors: interpretation of message, trust issues that leads to self-disclosure, enjoyment when communicating with their partner, time and distance.
