BARCERO, JOHN ALBERT O., CANCINO, ARMANDO N. and GLINO, NELVIEN F. Development of Analog and Digital Sensor Instructional Trainer. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Industrial Technology major in Electronics Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. January 2020. Adviser: Prof Ma. Fatima B. Zuniga.
The study was conducted from November 2018 to October 2019 at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology, College of Engineering and Information Technology, Cavite State University in Indang, Cavite to design and develop an analog and digital sensor instructional trainer for students. Specifically, it aimed to: 1. design a circuit for analog and digital sensor instructional trainer; 2. construct for a circuit for analog and digital sensor instructional trainer; 3. test the functionality, reliability, content and safety of the design project; and 4. evaluate the design project according to functionality and criteria of the evaluation. This study presents the analog and digital sensor for a safety learning trainer. The trainer is divided into two different sections: the analog and digital sensor. The trainer consist of six analog circuits such as temperature sensor, light sensor, water level sensor, touch sensor, motion sensor and soil moisture sensor. The circuits are composed of resistors and transistors to work, and 11 digital modules such as ultrasonic sensor, fingerprint sensor, humidity/temperature sensor, proximity sensor, light sensor, IR sensor, motion sensor, smoke sensor, gas sensor and alcohol sensor. The modules are connected to a MCU and upload the codes of each to work. Analog section consists of two outputs: LED and buzzer, while in the digital section consist of three outputs; LED, LCD and buzzer. The development of the analog and digital sensor instructional trainer was practically helpful in the field of electronics technology. The students in electronics technology is the beneficiary of this trainer that includes different sets of activities that the students perform. The analog and digital sensor instructional trainer was tested for functionality, reliability, concept and safety. The evaluation was conducted in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology by the Electronics Technology students and faculty members. The overall computed mean of the evaluation was 4.11 with a descriptive rating of very satisfactory. This result shows that the design project is highly acceptable to the evaluator's quality expectations
