Adviser: Ms. Raquel<br/>Agustin.<br/><br/>The study was conducted from February to March 2018 in Trece Martires City, Cavite.<br/>The study aimed to measure the level of awareness and compliance of selected jeepney<br/>drivers from Trece-lndang route to Executive Order no. 26 provisioned by the RA 921 1. The<br/>study determined the level of awareness of the participants in terms of their age and<br/>educational attainment, determine the level of compliance of the participants in terms of' their<br/>age and educational attainment, determined the relationship between the demographic profile<br/>of the participants and their level of awareness, determined the relationship between the<br/>demographic profile of the participants and their level of compliance and lastly determined the<br/>relationship between the level of awareness and level of compliance of the participants.<br/>Snowball sampling was used in order to get the right number of the participants. The<br/>researchers asked the chosen respondents to recommend qualified respondents among their<br/>acquaintances until enough data were gathered.<br/><br/>The findings from the survey revealed that most of the Jeepney drivers from Trece-<br/>Indang route were aged 46 and above and most of them were high school graduate. The<br/><br/>findings also revealed that the jeepney drivers had high level of awareness on the Executive<br/>Order no. 26 and were complying to the said law.<br/>The researchers recommended that the jeepney drivers should stop smoking since they<br/>were highly aware about the Executive Order no. 26 and since they started complying to the<br/>rules under the provisionary act of the Executive Order no. 26.<br/>The researchers also recommended that the passengers to also be aware of the<br/>Executive Order no. 26 since it has a big effect on their health specially, if they were always<br/>using jeepney as their means of transportation daily.<br/>It was also recommended for the government to do some task force activity and some<br/>seminars that could help educate people specially the jeepney drivers about the smoking<br/>ban.Lastly, the researchers would like to recommend the future researchers to do their survey,<br/><br/>paper works and some research ahead of time to avoid conflict and allot longer time because it<br/>became crucial as the research went by.
