The study was conducted from February to March 2018 in Trece Martires City, Cavite.
The study aimed to measure the level of awareness and compliance of selected jeepney
drivers from Trece-lndang route to Executive Order no. 26 provisioned by the RA 921 1. The
study determined the level of awareness of the participants in terms of their age and
educational attainment, determine the level of compliance of the participants in terms of' their
age and educational attainment, determined the relationship between the demographic profile
of the participants and their level of awareness, determined the relationship between the
demographic profile of the participants and their level of compliance and lastly determined the
relationship between the level of awareness and level of compliance of the participants.
Snowball sampling was used in order to get the right number of the participants. The
researchers asked the chosen respondents to recommend qualified respondents among their
acquaintances until enough data were gathered.

The findings from the survey revealed that most of the Jeepney drivers from Trece-
Indang route were aged 46 and above and most of them were high school graduate. The

findings also revealed that the jeepney drivers had high level of awareness on the Executive
Order no. 26 and were complying to the said law.
The researchers recommended that the jeepney drivers should stop smoking since they
were highly aware about the Executive Order no. 26 and since they started complying to the
rules under the provisionary act of the Executive Order no. 26.
The researchers also recommended that the passengers to also be aware of the
Executive Order no. 26 since it has a big effect on their health specially, if they were always
using jeepney as their means of transportation daily.
It was also recommended for the government to do some task force activity and some
seminars that could help educate people specially the jeepney drivers about the smoking
ban.Lastly, the researchers would like to recommend the future researchers to do their survey,

paper works and some research ahead of time to avoid conflict and allot longer time because it
became crucial as the research went by.
