June 2019, Adviser: Dr. Famela Iza CabeMatic The study conducted at the Sapang elementary school in Ternate, Cavite and Kaytapos elementary school and Bancod elementary school in Indang, Cavite from August 2018 to April 2019, aimed to assess the Implementation of Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program in Indang and Ternate Cavite as perceived by administrator, teacher, D.A.R.E. officer and parents appraisal was perceive only by parents, specifically it aimed to: to determine the level of implementation in terms of preparation, teaching methods, resourcefulness, effectiveness of communication, student participation, coordination among partners and parent appraisal; identify the major challenges facing; and establish possible solutions to address the major challenges facing the implementation of D.A.R.E. program. Descriptive qualitative research design was utilized in this study; one-on-one interview was done to gather pertinent data. The Drug Abuse Resistance Education program was successfully effectively implemented according to teachers, administrator, D.A.R.E. officer and parents. It implies that the implementation of D.A.R.E. program in selected school was helping the student to build refusal skill, develop self-esteem, decision making skills, interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking and the identification of positive alternative to negative pressure. vii The finding shows that the major challenges facing the implementation of D.A.R.E. program in selected school was that lack of fund and lack of teaching material can affect the implementation of D.A.R.E. program to continue educating the students to raise awareness about the negative consequences of the drug and to prevent the students’ using drugs. Furthermore, the coordination with Local Government Unit and support of other stakeholder was the possible solution address to lack of funds and lack of teaching materials to continue the implementation of D.A.R.E. program.
