Sy.<br/>The study was conducted from October 2021 to May 2022 online due to the COVID19<br/>global pandemic. The purpose of the research was to develop a user-friendly password<br/>manager extension for Google Chrome using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) for the user<br/>to easily manage their usernames and passwords. Safe Word is a centralized password<br/>management solution that stores sensitive information such as website credentials, credit cards,<br/>and notes in an encrypted vault. The user will register using an email account which will also be<br/>used to verify the account. The password manager extension also requires a strong password<br/>called the master password to access the vault. It is hashed by crypt, based on Blowfish<br/>Algorithm with an optional, encouraged, two-factor authentication via SMS or email. The user's<br/><br/>sensitive information will be encrypted so that it will be safe from cyberattacks. 100 casual non-<br/>technical users of Google Chrome Browser and 10 technical users who have an IT/CS-related<br/><br/>profession evaluated the system. According to the overall evaluation, the system was marked<br/>Excellent in software quality criteria such as functionality, usability, reliability, maintainability,<br/>portability, and user-friendliness, and Very Good for efficiency. The researchers concluded that<br/>the study would be a great way to organize a password manager for users who easily forget<br/>passwords and other credentials.
