The number of online retail businesses are continuously increasing nowadays because of restrictions brought by pandemic. Many businesses are transitioning from a physical to an internet business because of the convenience it provides. In business, understanding how effectively a firm is functioning is critical while accounting practices, accordingly, play a significant part in order to see the actual state of a business. Majority of researches undertaken appeared to be limited to the performance of traditional businesses and that limited studies have been conducted on the accounting practices employed by online retailers. As a result, it is believed that conducting a study on online business is both relevant and timely. Thus, the purpose of this study is to emphasize the perceived influence of accounting practices on the business performance of online retail businesses.
