‘REBUCAS, MARY JANE, B., APPLIED RESEARCH IV (Agricultural Science Department) Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite. COMPARATIVE Study of UNCONVENTIONAL METHODS OF DEFLASKING DENDROBIUM SEEDLINGS. Adviser: Mr. Reynante P. Rozul

The experiment revealed that Conventional Reflasking is an efficient method of reflasking. Seedlings grown inside the culture bottles got convincing results in terms of plant survival, length of roots in centimeter, number of roots and number of leaves compared to Seedlings in Unconventional Reflasking. They attained faster growth and development.

In Unconventional Reflasking, T, which is Paslak inside the terrarium also got satisfactory growth. It was followed by seedlings grown in Charcoal and Coconut Husk. Osmunda Fiber showed poor results because it easily dried and the loss of water in the plant environment greatly hindered plant activities in terms of growth and development. While Sphagnum Moss least results were due to frequent attack of fungi and other harmful organisms.
