This study, "Effect of Different Levels of VA Mycorrhiza on the Growth and Yield of UPLRI 5 Upland Rice Variety” was conducted to determine the effect of VA mycorrhiza on the growth and yield of UPLRI 5 upland rice variety and to find out which level of VA Mycorrhiza will give best results in terms of growth and yield of UPLRI 5 upland rice variety.
Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was used in this study with different levels of VA Mycorrhiza as treatments. There were four treatments replicated three times namely: TO ~ control (uninoculated), T1 = 3 grams/nole, T2 - 6 grams /hole, T3 = 9 grams/hole.
Results showed that Treatment 3 (9 grams/hole) was the best treatment for UPLRI 5 upland rice variety because it produced taller plants with greater number of tillers and panicles, with greater computed yield per hectare and heavier grains. This can be attributed to the capability of plants in nutrient absorption when inoculated with VA mycorrhiza that enhances plant growth and yield. It was foliéwed by
