Abstract: TUSCANO, RIZA B. United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB), Makati City. Undergraduate Field Study. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Marketing. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2007. Adviser: Ms. Lina C. Abogadie. A field study was conducted at United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB) head office at Makati Avenue, Makati City from November 22, 2006 to February 09, 2007 to apply the knowledge and skills learned in the classrooms to actual management and operations of the firm. Specifically, it aimed to describe the organization and management of the bank, describe the different services offered by the bank and identify the problems encountered by the firm and recommend feasible solutions. Data were gathered through observations and personal interviews with the company's personnel. Other information were obtained from the files and records of the company and from the United Coconut Planters Bank website. UCPB is a leading provider of financial products and services to corporations, middle market companies, small- and medium- sized businesses, and consumers in the Philippines. The major problem of UCPB is the old and malfunctioning computers. Employees could not finish their work on time because the facilities were not functioning well. The field study was focused on the Market and Customer Research Department where the trainee was assigned. The daily activities done at the bank include filing, giving medicines, typing, encoding of reports and survey forms, back checking of encoded database, photocopying of important documents, receiving telephone calls, checking of examinations of the applicants, making schedules for the examiners and making calls to those applicants who were scheduled for examinations, collating of photocopied documents and conducting interviews.
