Summary: "Analog is an electronic systems with a continuously variable signal, in contrast to digital electronics where the signals usually take only two different levels. The term "analogue" describes the proportional relationship between a signal and a voltage or current that represents the signal. A typical analog device is capable of indicating every possible time of day. In contrast, a digital clock is capable of representing only a finite number of times (every tenth of a second, for example). In general, human experience the world analogically."--Back cover.
