Abstract: FERANIL, IZZY EXEQUIEL P., and MARUDO, RHOYIT A., Development of 2Dimensional Mobile Geographic Information System for Sugar Palm Research Information and Trade Center (SPRINT). Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2014. Adviser: Ms. Lydia P. Nosa The system entitled "Development of 2-Dimensional Geographic Information System for Sugar Palm Research Information and Trade Center" was developed to help the said organization in disseminating of information, provide decision support and to help the said organization in lessening the burden of assessing the volunteers to the monitored plantation sites. It identifies the problems of existing manual process of gathering and consolidating of data through conducting research and interviews. The significance of the study was innovative because the client gained idea about what technology trends today that can help them in their agricultural activities, specifically the mobile application. The 2-DimensionaI Mobile Geographic Information System provides portability that can easily access the information about the study of kaong, through mobile application. The system helps the clients in terms of disseminating of information because the information needed by the people who conducting the study was interactive. It also supports the decision making of the clients for the better way of thinking about the possible plantation sites of kuong. After conducting the evaluation, the proponents established the following recommendations for the enhancement of the system: allow the data to be stored in database of the mobile application so that the data were able to view even there's no internet connection; allow the user to view and update the information that was saved in application such as the total number of kaong planted in each barangay; and make the mobile application resolution friendly that resolution be automatically adjusted depending on the device resolution specifications resulting in flexibility of the application so that other mobile devices can be use this mobile application.
