Abstract: APARICIO, ROVEL ALVAREZ, ARTISTA, JUDITH CRUZAT; and SALGADO, RUBY ROSE BACOS. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. October 2004, Muli — Modal Approach in Teaching Algebra among Selected Sophomore High School Students of Anuling National High School, including Test Item Analysis. Adviser: Dr. Lorna L. Penales. The study was conducted to show the Multi - Modal approach in Teaching Algebra among selected sophomore high school students of Anuling National High School including test item analysis. Specifically, it sought to determine the difference between the result of the scores in the pre-test and the post-test given before and after the formal teaching administered by one of the authors. It also determined the effectiveness of an item test. The study used the descriptive statistics as a method of analysis, the pre-test and the post-test as a data gathering instrument that was validated at Asis National High School in Asis, Mendez, Cavite. Forty students from Anuling National High School. Mean, Standard Deviation, and T- test were the statistical measures for the study. After analyzing and interpreting the data, the following were revealed. Most of the respondents are female and aged 13 years old. Their scores in the Post-test about the sum and difference of signed numbers was a little higher than the Pre-test before administering the lesson. There is a difference between the pretest and the post-test administered in Anuling, Mendez, Cavite. The study revealed that out of 35-item test, 20 items having moderately internal consisting reliability were shown when test item analysis was applied.
