Thesis Adviser: Vivian D. Rogando This study determined the relationship of social support, work motivation and academic performance of selected working students in public high schools in General Trios, Cavite. This study used descriptive correlational research method to describe and to determine the relationship between social support and work motivation; social support and academic performance; and work motivation to academic performance. The researcher's sample sizes of the study were 60 participants, 10 per school. Purposive sampling technique and snow ball technique were used in selecting the participants in the schools of GFMNHS- Main, GFMNHS- Biclatan Annex, G-FMNFLS- Buenavista, GFMNHS- San Francisco, Santiago National High School and Tropical Village National High School. The criteria in selecting the participants' were working students regardless of the work with monthly income, working for at least 4 months, either male or female, single and no age were giver two questionnaires that were measured the social support work motivation. The academic performance of the participant were based on their 2nd grading average, . When the retrieval of the questionnaire, the data \vas collected and treated statistically. The results revealed that three level of social support in terms of emotional, informational and tangible support us slightly supported while network support showed as fully supported. Extrinsic and intrinsic motivations fall under highly motivated. For academic performance, the great weighted average e of the participants fall under 75-79 which is fair .Consequently the researchers concluded that social support in terms of emotional informational network and tangible support. has a significant relationship with work motivation in terms of extrinsic and intrinsic motivation and academic performance of the participants while work motivation has no significant relationship with academic performance.
