Abstract: BATOSINGEN , JOANE R. Profile and Assessment on Local Climate Change Action Programs of Municipality of Carmona. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. College of Arts and Sciences. Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite. May 2018. Adviser: Sir. Renato T. Agdalpen, MA. The main objective of the study was to determine the profile and assess the programs of the municipality of Carmona about the climate change. Specifically, the study aimed to: (l) determine the implemented local climate change action programs of Municipality of Carmona; (2) determine the profile of each local climate change action programs in terms of year of implementation, place of implementation, specific clients ,objectives, target output and actual output; (3) determine the impacts of the programs on the participants in terms of labor and employment and environmental management; and (4) identify the problems being encountered and sustainability of the implemented local climate change action programs. The study was conducted at the municipality of Carmona, Cavite. Participants of the study were the selected barangay officials and residents who were selected through purposive and convenience random sampling technique which a survey and interview questionnaire were utilized as research instrument. Descriptive research method and narrative analysis were used in this study. Result shows that majority of the participants were completely satisfied and benefited in the programs provided by Carmona as for the level of its implementation. When it comes to problems encountered by barangay officials, in terms of labor and employment they experienced were overage and lack of monitoring of livelihood.programs while on the environment they experienced problem on lack of discipline of the resident although the programs were highly implemented, there comes a time that the residents did not participate. As for possible solutions of barangay officials, in livelihood and employment, they appointed the overage women to take charge of the livelihood and made schedule to monitor the products and the output while on the environment implemented a very strict policy in terms of proper waste segregation. Therefore, the study suggests that the municipality of Carmona should extend collaboration with other agencies that would provide competent trainers, sources of fund, institutional capacity building and monitoring, evaluation and operations of its programs, encourage the residents and the official to participate and support on the programs and services provided and lastly to be involved on the planning, implementation and evaluation programs is also endorsed for them to motivate and learn to participate.
