Abstract: GATDULA, CHRISTINE, MECADIO, KARL MARICON and SARAVIA, MERRY ROSE ANN. Demographic Profile, Problems Encountered and Adaptation Measures of Beekeepers towards Climate Change in Upland Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Mrs. Joy N. Babaan, RPm. This study was conducted to determine the demographic profile, problems encountered and adaptation measures of beekeepers towards climate change in Upland Cavite. Specifically, this study aimed to (l) determine the demographic profile of the participants in terms: of age, educational attainment, gender, and monthly income; (2) determine the problems encountered of the participants towards climate change; (3) determine the adaptation n5easures of the participants towards climate change; (4a) determine the relationship between demographic profile and problems encountered of the participants towards climate change; (4b) determine the relationship between demographic profile and adaptation measures of the participants towards climate change; and (4c) determine the relationship between problems encountered and adaptation measures of the participants towards climate change. The participants of this study are beekeepers that have at least one year or more experience in beekeeping industry in Upland Cavite. Purposive sampling was used in choosing members of population to participate in the study. The authors adopted the descriptive-correlational design and quantitative approach to research. In this study, survey questionnaire was utilized as the mam research instrument. The statistical analysis used the frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation Pearson R, Spearman rank and Point Biserial. Content analysis was also used as another technique in analyzing the qualitative responses of the participants. Most of the participants were male, married and had 4 to 6 members in the family. Their age ranged from 41 to 60 years. Most of them were college graduate. Results revealed that in the problems encountered, the participants are somewhat problematic when it comes to socio-psychological, economics and government problems. In adaptation measures, the participants were highly adaptive when it comes to human resource, financial resource, and information resource. There is no relationship between demographic profile in terms of age, gender, educational attainment, civil status and family size and the problems encountered. Also, demographic profile in terms of age, gender, educational attainment, civil status and family size and adaptation measures have no significant relationship. Moreover, there is no relationship between problems encountered and adaptation measures of the participants.
