Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Ms. Kimmi Dane N. Jimenez. The study was conducted from December 2018 to February 2019 in Cavite State University — Main Campus. The study aimed to measure the level of awareness and compliance of Cavite State University to Executive Order No. 2 Series of 2016 or the EO on Freedom of Information. The study determined the level of awareness, level of compliance and the relationship between awareness and compliance of CvSU to EO No. 2 Series of 2016. Convenience or availability sampling was used to gather data from the participants. The participants of this study were 77 employees from different offices of Cavite State University —- Main Campus such as Research and Extension, External and Business Affairs, Administrative and Support Services, Planning and Development and Academic Affairs. The findings from the survey revealed that most of the participants of this study were aware of the executive order and most of them were knowledgeable that CvSU is highly compliant to the executive order. Cavite State University — Freedom of Information Manual and some conducted meetings helped the participants to be more aware of the EO No. 2 Series of 2016 that led them to rate CvSU as highly compliant to the executive order. Based on the results of the study, the participants’ level of awareness to level of compliance had a direct and significant relationship.
