Abstract: MARDO, MARJULYN B., MONTES VIANICA JOY Q., PERESA FRENCY JAIRAH M. Development and Standardization of Honesty Scale of College Students of Cavite State University. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2018. Research Adviser: Dr. Cecilia B. Banan. The study aimed to develop an honesty scale that can assess and measure the honesty level of students and to determine the psychometric properties of the scale in terms of validity and reliability. The study also aimed to identify the norms used and to determine the level of honesty of the students at Cavite State University. The study used descriptive-developmental study research design. The participants in the study were the college students of Cavite State University and they were selected using convenience, stratified proportional random sampling, and cluster sampling. The validity of the scale was determined through content validity ratio. In exploratory factor analysis, the scale appeared to have six dimensions namely: dishonesty, trustworthiness, uprightness, responsibility, integrity, and morality. It also used the concurrent validity, but found out that academic performance and honesty level of the students had negative relationship for they were two different constructs. The reliability of the scale was determined through test-retest and inter-item reliability. The study found that the scale had an internal consistency of 0.745 and overall consistency of 0.541. This means that the scale had an item consistency and stability which indicates that the scale was indeed reliable. The norms used to interpret the test scores were stanine, z-score, and percentile. Lastly, the study found out that the students of Cavite State University had an average level of honesty. Generally, there is no big difference between the students who got low and high level of honesty.
