This study aimed to give information to the students of La Asuncion Montessori of Tagaytay Inc., as well as to give the solution to the problems that the school encounters. The system is capable of a fast and easy way of processing. It has five modules namely account management module, student information module, subject management module, grading module and report module.
Iterative methodology was used to complete the entire system, which includes the planning phase, requirement analysis, design phase, implementation phase, and software testing and evaluation phases. Planning phase consists of scheduling the system development, determining the problems through interview and surveys. For the requirements, the developers performed the early initial of the requirements. The interview and survey were used as tool in executing in this activity. For the design phase, the developers conducted an analysis based on information gathered in requirement phase. During the software testing phase the developers tested the functionality of the system. For the evaluation phase the developers assessed if each module met their specification based on the requirements.
In developing the system, the developers used Visual studio 2010 as the main programming language, My Structured Query Language v5. 5.16 (MySQL), Adobe Photoshop CS6, and Microsoft Word 2010.
The system was evaluated by 15 faculty members of La Asuncion Montessori of Tagaytav Inc. Patutong Malaki North and 10 Information Technology (IT) experts in Cavite State University-Main Campus. The criteria for software evaluation were functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability. Based on the evaluation result, the software passed and was able to comply with all the requirements as it met its objectives.
