Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, July 2019. Adviser: Mr. Mark Philip M. Sy. The study entitled "History Chase: Development of an Android Based Adventure Game About Cavite Historical Sites" was developed to help the user to learn effectively about Cavite historical sites. The application provides the user with trivia and stories about different historical sites in Cavite while playing an adventure game. The study was conducted from August 2018 to July 2019 at Cavite State University — Main Campus. In developing the software, scrum methodology was used. Initiate, this phase the processes related to initiation of a project: Create Project Vision, Identify Scrum Master and Stakeholder(s), Form Scrum Team, Develop Epic(s), Create Prioritized Product Backlog, and Conduct Release Planning. Plan and Estimate, this phase consists of processes related to planning and estimating task, which include: Create User Stories, Approved, Estimate, Commit user stories, Create Tasks, Estimate Task, and Create Sprint backlog. Implement, this phase is related to the execution of the tasks and activities to create a project's product. These activities include creating the various deliverables, conducting Daily Standup Meetings, and grooming (i.e., reviewing, fine-tuning, and regularly updating) the Product Backlog at regular intervals. Review and Retrospect, this phase is concerned with reviewing the deliverables and the work that has been done and determining ways to improve the practices and methods used to do project work. Release, this phase emphasizes on delivering the Accepted Deliverables to the customer and identifying, documenting, and internalizing the lessons learned during the project. 60 college students of Cavite State University — Main Campus, 40 visitors and 10 technical evaluators evaluated the system. The overall result of the software evaluation with criteria of functionality, reliability, usability, user-friendliness shows the software was marked as Excellent. It means that the researchers met all the expectations and desired output for the developed software.
