Abstract: MASIGLAT, ANDRESITO FR. F. and VILLAPAZ, ROPERTO T. Proposed Design .f Irrigation Facility for Agricultural Land Water Efficiency in Barangay Tulay A and Tulay B, Maragondon, Cavite. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Engr. Renato B. Cubilla. The study was conducted from November 2018 to March 2019 at the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Cavite State University, Indang Cavite to provide a design of irrigation facility of agricultural land in Barangay Tulay A and Tulay B, Maragondon Cavite. Cavite province had a total land resource at 142,706 hectares, where in 49.38 % of the total land resources were agricultural land (7.446.53 hectares) and the remaining 50.704 % (72,239.47 hectares) belongs to non-agricultural land area. The study was provide a design and analysis of reinforced concrete diversion dam and canal networks at Brgy. Malibiclibic, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Province of Cavite that supports the agricultural land in the said site. The design specifically aimed to provide architectural and structural plan of the structure facility; design the diversion dam and its networks that will withstand against unexpected situation; provide the detailed cost estimate of the project and specification; lastly, to provide tarpaulin of the design diversion dtma to showcase the proposed project. The analysis of said diversion dam was started from the hydraulic design. The researchers assumed a height and computed the possible afflux elevation based on um flood condition that the researchers computed. The computed afflux elevation liras 6.20 m and it serves as the maximum height of water that may occur in the darn. The researchers analyze the hydraulic jump to compute the length of the downstream apron which was 14 m and determined the sizes of chute blocks, baffle blocks and end sill. The shape of the dam that the researchers adopt was trapezoidal and the proportioning of the section of the dam is based on calculation of the shape of the crest of ogee dam as stated on the methodology. The diversion dam included the design of stem, base, heel and toe with a total length of 24 m and height of 4.27 m as computed. While the canal networks for the agricultural land was divided into 4 sections having a total length of 3.515 km as calculated. The total projected estimate cost for the reinforced concrete diversion dam was ₱ 9.501,610.81. While total estimated cost computed for concrete irrigation canal was ₱ 63, 359,971.81. The projected project total cost estimate for the whole irrigation facility was ₱72. 861,582.63. The conduct design project serves as practical application of the knowledge, ideas and design concept regarding structural and water resource engineering that the researchers learned inside the classroom. It enriched the researchers' skills regarding civil works estimate, preparation of architectural and structural plan, and design analysis of reinforced concrete dam. The study also enhanced the knowledge of the researchers in using engineering software such as AutoCAD, Sketch up Pro and Lumion. If the design of diversion dam was implemented, suitable cut-off must be considered during construction and should be according to standard, to minimize the failure oldie dam against sliding.
