Abstract: The study was conducted to determine the performance of guyabano cuttings as affected by different irrination intervals and to identify the optimum irrigation interval using a gravity type trickle irrigation system at the author's residence at Kayquit 1, Indang, Cavite from November 195'3 to March 1994. Four treatments with four replicates each were made. Treatment I composed of cuttings irrigated everyday, Treatment II, cuttings were irrigated at 3 days interval. Treatment III, cuttings were irrigated at 6 days interval and Treatment IV, cuttings irrigated at 9 days interval. The experiment was laid out using completely randomized design (CRD). Guyabano cuttings under treatment T2 (3 days interval of irriclation) produced the highest number of roots and longest roots. Guyabano cuttings under Treatment T1 (everyday irrigation) produced the highest number of leaves, longest shoots, and the most frequently irrigated and produced the highest percentage of survival. The study showed that guyabano cuttings performed well under the level of available moisture in the soil at everyday irrigation. High level of available moisture in the soil stimulated the growth of guyabano cuttings in terms of the length of roots, number of leaves and length of shoots.
