Abstract: OCHOA, EDLYN, TALIGATOS, ROWENA M., and VALENCIANO, JONA V., Sinangag Hauz. Enterprise Development Project. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Marketing Management, Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. October 2014. Adviser: Dr. Florindo C. Ilagan. An Enterprise Development Project was operated for 88 days or three months from June 16, 2014 to September 18, 2014. The general objective of the project was for the student entrepreneurs to apply their skills and gain experiences in the actual business operation. The project also aimed to determine the profitability of developing innovative products from rice, to develop marketing strategies for any viands of fried rice as startup products, to identify the problems encountered in the production and marketing of products, and to recommend workable solutions for the identified problems. The enterprise was in the form of partnership with a starting capital of P30,000 which was equally shared by the entrepreneurs. Duties, responsibilities, and decisions concerning the vital aspects of the business were distributed and jointly performed by the entrepreneurs. Sinangag Hauz offered products such as fried rice, gulaman juice, and mineral water. As part of its promotional strategies, Sinangag Hauz used tarpaulin, leaflets and free drinks in every meal purchased to create awareness regarding the availability of the business and its product offerings and also to increase consumer trial. After three months of the operation, Sinangag Hauz had generated a total sales of P213,345.00 and a net income of P58,970.63. Raw materials inventory amounted to P130,646.45 and a total asset of P91,970.63 with the net profit of P58,970.63. In operating a business, Sinangag Hauz encountered some problems. On the first month of the enterprise, the entrepreneurs encountered a problem with regard to the volume of production of variants. Because of this, the enterprise resulted in early closing which affected the operation of the project. Another problem encountered dealt with the spoiled rice. On the first month of the operation, the volume of rice became uncontrollable which resulted in spoilage. However, through this entrepreneurial project, their managerial capabilities, decision making skills, and communication skills in handling a business were enhanced.
