Abstract: ALFONSO, PAUL JOHN MICHAEL D. and ANINAO, JUANITO JR. P. Analysis and Design of a Three-Storey Reinforced Concrete Municipal Building in Silang, Cavite. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Cavite State University Indang, Cavite. April 2016. Adviser: Engr. Cene M. Bago. The study entitled “Analysis and Design of a Three-Storey Reinforced Concrete Municipal Building in Silang, Cavite” was conducted at Cavite State University — Main Campus from June 2015 to March 2016. The study aimed to analyse and design a three-storey reinforced concrete municipal building in Silang, Cavite. The site was donated by the municipality of Silang. The allotted lot has an area of 2.26 hectares located at Brgy. Biga 1, Silang, Cavite. The lot allotted for the building was 2,100 sq. meters. The authors designed the three-storey reinforced concrete municipal building. The building’s architectural design considered the capacity of the population of Silang and its employees for the near future. The study included the architectural plans of the building such as: perspective, floor plans, and elevations, and schedule of doors and windows. Structural design, plumbing layout, electrical layout were also included in the study. The estimated total project cost of the three-storey reinforced concrete building excluding elevator, electrical and plumbing estimate was Php 53, 803, 600.87. With a total floor area of 6300 square meters, it was computed that the building costs P8540.25/sq.m. After a careful performance of all the computations and design, it is concluded that all materials and members that were used in the project were safe and economical. The conduct of the design project enhanced the knowledge of the authors regarding the field of works of civil engineering such as design, structural computations and construction estimates. The researchers recommend that the development plan of the municipal complex be established. This may be composed of a three-storey library building that will provide the students information and data in their researches and studies; a covered court that can be used by municipal employees and the public when conducting events and sports activities; and lastly, design of water treatment facility to treat the wastewater before disposing to the nearby creek so that the environment will not be harmed and to comply with the water clean act. The authors also recommend that the study can be used by future researchers as reference for researches related to the study.
