Abstract: ALMACEN, KRIZZ CATE V. and DEL MUNDO, CRISTINE ALAINE R. DEVELOPMENT OF MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR BARANGAY TAMBO MALAKI INDANG, CAVITE. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2018. Adviser: Ms. Charlotte B. Carandang. The Barangay Tambo Malaki which is located at the western part of Indang proper and classified as a rural barangay, has an accumulated measurement of 300 hectares. Upon data gathering, the proponents found that there are several factors that hinder the achievement of their goals and mission. First, the barangay is having difficulty in handling records regarding the details about population. Second, they experienced difficulty in checking the records of complaints. Lastly, they experienced difficulty in doing an inventory of the heath supplies to be requested. By that, the proponents conducted a study which may be used to resolve the said problems. This study was conducted from August 2017 to April 2018 at Cavite State University — Main Campus. The purpose of the study was to develop a management information system capable of being used for the barangay and to manage the records in the barangay technically rather than manually. Iterative Development Methodology was used as the methodology of the system. To implement the system, the php and html markup languages were used. Ten barangay officials from Barangay Tambo Malaki and 10 IT specialists evaluated the system. The results were collected through an evaluation from based on ISO 9126. In accordance with the overall evaluation results, the system was judged to be excellent and some are very good in all software quality criteria such as functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, portability, and user-friendliness. Based on the evaluation on technical evaluators the system had an average of 4.36 while on non-technical evaluators the average was 4.66.Upon the completion of the study, the proponents concluded that this would be a solution for the problems as were stated in the statement of the problem that the barangay personnel encountered.
