Abstract: MOJICA, EDILYN D., ROSANES JULIET D., "JEICT Souvenir Items." An Enterprise Development Project, Bachelor of Science in Business Management Major in Marketing, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. March 2000 Adviser: Mrs. Nelia C Cresino. An enterprise development project which was named "text Souvenir Items" was conducted in Kaytapos, Indang, Cavite. The study aimed to provide the students an opportunity to put into practice business concept and theories learned in the classroom to actual business operation; describe the printing and marketing strategies used for souvenir items; determined the profitability of printing and selling of souvenir items; identified the problems encountered in printing and marketing of souvenir items; and formulate the feasible solutions to such problems. The Enterprise, such as managed by two female marketing major students, had an initial investment of P5,000.00 which was used to buy the necessary supplies, materials and equipment. Production and delivery were done depending on the needs of the costumers. The products printed and sold by the entrepreneurs include t-shirt, jogging pants, towels, calendars and banners. Prices of the products were based on the existing market price. During the six-month period of operation, the entrepreneurs generated a total sales of P118,625.00 and incurred a total expenses amounting to P73,125.25. After deducting the total cost from total sale, the enterprise obtained a net income of P47,774.15. Result of profitability ratios showed that the project is profitable. Return on equity of the project was 920.07 percent. The net profit margin of the business was 40.27 percent. Gross profit margin of the business was90.52 percent. The problems encountered by the entrepreneurs were unavailability of materials; urgency of orders from customers for printed items; delivery of souvenir items to the location of the customer; and difficulty in the collection of payments.
