This study was conducted to determine the healing strategies of selected quack doctors in Cavite. The studies aimed to determine similarities and differences between the healing strategies of selected quack doctors in Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to: 1. determine the percentage of people who believe in the healing strategies of quack doctors among the total number of respondents; 2. determine where most people especially in rural areas prefer to go for treatment of their ailment, 3. determine the reasons why some people choose to refer to quack doctors (albularyo) rather than to a medical doctor, 4. find out the common ailments being cured by quack doctors; 5. find out the healing strategies used by quack doctors; and 6. sort the similarities and differences between the healing strategies of selected quack doctors in Cavite. The proponents used two approaches to obtain the needed data to answer specific problem. A descriptive design was used to describe the important details needed and a comparative approach to relate each of quack doctors' strategy on healing their patients. The study comprised three sets of research subjects namely: resident-respondents, the selected quack doctors of Cavite, and the client-respondents. The study used survey, interview and video footages to be able to obtain the needed data to answer the study's specific problems. Based on the findings, the proponents have formulated several recommendations and these will benefit the following individuals/sectors: Local residents; Local government; Areas within the society especially under the health sector — Department of Health; and the Filipino people.
