Abstract: REYES, CLARK ANDREI C. Backyard Swine Enterprise in Bancod, Indang, Cavite: An Entrepreneurial Development Project. Bachelor of Agricultural Entrepreneurship major in Animal Production, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2018: Irvin d.L Matel, DVM. The swine production project was conducted at Brgy. Bancod Ill, Indang, Cavite from January 6, 2018, to April 21, 2018. The project aimed to perform the management practices involved in rearing a fattener hog; apply agribusiness practices in swine production; and earn more profit from a small-scale hog fattening project. The swine production project used four weanlings with an average weight of 15 kg and weighed 90 kg in average at the end of the production which was purchased from backyard farm at Brgy. Palocpoc, Mendez, Cavite. The feeds were bought from feeds supply at Silang, Cavite. They were fed three times a day, at 7:00 A.M, 12:00 Noon and 4:00 P.M. They were given commercial hog starter pellet during the first month. After this period, the starter pellet was shifted gradually to hog grower pellet to prevent the stress on the part of the animal.The final cost of the project is P34,698.78, with the income Of P 9,011.22. The47.83 kg is the ADG of the starter phase at 1 st day to 30d1 day and for the grower phase at 31 days to the 105th day 43.26 kg with the total of 91.13 kg, the feed consumption is 50 kg at 1st to day of starter and 150 kg for 31st to 105th day.
