Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Marketing, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2002. Adviser: Mr. Teddy Tepora. The enterprise development project was first conducted at the Cavite State University (CvSU) from September 15 to 21, 2001 during the University intramurals. The actual project operation was conducted at 69 Jupiter Street, Bel-Air, Makati City from October 8, 2001 to January 22, 2002. The operating of the project was extended at CvSU from January 24, to February 21, 2002. Through this project, the student’s capabilities in managing food the actual operation of the business were developed. The project concentrated on a restaurants operation and management covering all the functional areas such as organization, marketing, production and finance using an initial capital of P 70,000.00. Data and information pertaining to the entrepreneurial project were gathered through actual operation. The project earned P175,477.00 during the entire operation. A total of P92,916.00 was spent for the purchase of raw materials and P80,586.00 was used for operating expenses. The remaining P4,497.00 was the net profit. Based on the evaluation of the project’s financial performance of the project, it was found that the project was profitable, which was manifested in the financial ratios of the project such as return on investment (ROI), return on sales (ROS) and return on assets (ROA). Some problems encountered in the project were on the payment system and low sales during the Christmas and rainy seasons. These problems were solved by arranging with customers in terms of the mode of payment and by preparing small volume of food during bad weathers. Despite of such problems, the project proved to be good income source. Through the project, the students gained the needed managerial and entrepreneurial skills for the establishment of a similar type of business in the future.
