Abstract: OTIONG YVETTE, TOLEDO CINDY Y. Implication of Social Welfare Services for Solo Parents in Indang Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis, Bachelor of Science in Social Work, College of Arts and Sciences, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2018. Adviser: Mrs. Rosylyn M. Amigo PhD. This study was conducted in 14 barangays (Poblacion 1-3, Banaba Lejos, Banaba Cerca, Calumpang Lejos, Calumpang Cerca, Mahabang Kahoy 1, Kayquit 1-3,Buna Lejos 1, Buna Cerca, Mataas na Lupo, Alulod, Agusos,) of Indang Cavite, from January to May 2018 to identify the services implemented for solo parents in Indang, Cavite. Moreover, the study aimed to determine the extent implementation and implications of these services to the participants in terms of financial capability, educational, health, livelihood trainings and psychological support. The researchers used purposive sampling technique to the 95 solo parents in order to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the services for solo parents in Indang, Cavite. A survey questionnaire was used as a tool in data-gathering. The study made use of frequency and percentage in describing the services implemented for Solo Parents in Indang, Cavite. The results of the study have shown that the services for solo parents in Indang, Cavite are not highly implemented. Some provided services from the government did not successfully reach the entire constituents of solo parents in Indang, Cavite. Thus, general welfare of the solo parents could not be determined as excellent or favorable in all aspects.
