520 3 _aBAUTISTA, REICELLE E. and SIERRA, JESSICA MAE M. Development of Health Informatics System Diet Plan for Pregnant Women on Mobile using Android. Undergraduate Thesis, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. April 2016. Adviser: Ms. Charlotte B. Carandang. This study entitled "Development of Health Informatics System Diet Plan for Pregnant Women on Mobile using Android." aimed to develop a mobile application that will help expectant mothers with their diet plan by using a food guide. This mobile application will help them reduce nutrition-related problems they experience during 9 months of pregnancy. This will guide them to find out how to satisfy their cravings properly, if what they eat or about to eat is good for them and their baby. Assessment on the existing problems encountered by the pregnant patients of Rural Health Unit of Tanza, Cavite was identified through conducted interviews among its health personnel and patients after seeking approval from the Municipal Health Officer. The problems were analyzed through the use of Fishbone diagram and resulted to the need to prioritize the Diet Plan of Pregnant Women on Mobile development using HTML5 as the markup language, Ionic Framework, Cordova, and the android software development kit (SDK) as the development tools and environment and SQLite for the data storage. The following were the machine specifications that the proponents used to develop the system: Windows 8 Operating System, 4 GB RAM, 64-bit operating system type, and Intel Pentium CPU 1.5GHz as the processor. The software was created to be used by pregnant mothers to help them manage their food intake. In developing the Diet Plan for Pregnant Women that is to be included in the application, the proponents used standard BMI computation for pregnant women, and meal suggestions, from books and articles authored by nutritionists and doctors. To determine the acceptability level based on software quality attributes, the proponents conducted an evaluation to one hundred (100) respondents of its potential end-users, such as pregnant patients, nurses, doctors, and medical officers of the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Tanza, Cavite. The system was evaluated through the following criteria: Functionality, Reliability, Usability, Efficiency, Maintainability, and Portability using the rating from 5-Excellent, 4-Very Good, 3-Good, 2-Fair and 1-Poor. The results showed that in terms of the over-all evaluation of the respondents, the system was rated to be working properly and was able to meet the expectations imposed by the organization. The android application was proven by the respondents to be excellently and properly working according to its functional requirements.
