Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2015. Adviser: Mr. Marlon R. Perena. The study was conducted from June 2014 to February 2015 at Bagong Pook Elementary School, Trece Martires City and Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. It generally aimed to develop a management information system for Bagong Pook Elementary School. Specifically, it aimed to address the identified problems of the organization such as unorganized ways of keeping all records, delayed submission of grades, and slow generation of necessary reports. Iterative model was the methodology used for the conduct of the study. It has five phases: requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing and evaluation. The system was developed with the use of XAMPP where Apache was used for the server, Hypertext preprocessor (PHP) as the scripting language, and My structured query language (MySQL) as the data storage. The system was evaluated by the teachers of the school using an ISO 9126 based evaluation form, with the following criteria: functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability of the system. The results of the evaluation were collated and statistically treated using mean and standard deviation. The overall assessment of the software got the mean of 4.58 and standard deviation of 0.5130 which means that the respondents evaluated the system as excellent. And to further improve the study, the researchers recommended to; include computation of student grades such as quizzes, major exams, recitation, project, and attendance every grading period, allow the accessing of the system through mobile devices, and provide a communication module for announcements, and news.
