Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. March 2015. Adviser: Ms. Mary Jane A. Amparo. The study was conducted to determine the sociocultural adjustment in terms of language ability and socialization; to know the social interaction in terms of host nationals, co-nationals, and other nationalities; and to identify the stress level in terms of school, community, and self; and lastly, the relationship among sociocultural adjustment, social interaction and stress level of the foreign student in Cavite State University- Main Campus. Descriptive-Correlational Method of Research was used to know the relationship between the independent and dependent variables while total enumeration sampling was used in determining the fifty-four (54) foreign students who were enrolled in Cavite State University-Main campus for the second semester of the academic year 2014-2015. The result of the study showed that the foreign students in Cavite State University- Main Campus have an average level of sociocultural adjustment and have a high level of social interaction, while it was found out that they have a low level of stress. Moreover, the result of the study indicated that there was a highly significant relationship between sociocultural adjustment and social interaction while there was no significant relationship between sociocultural adjustment and social interaction, and social interaction and stress level. The researchers suggest that the university should have an orientation program and organization exclusive for the foreign students, a sort of buddy system inside the classroom. Special classes are also recommended by the researcher where they will undergo basic fundamental skills about different Filipino subjects like Jose Rizal, history, etc. Guidance program like personal counseling, consultation and interviews shall also be offered to help and guide them while inside the university.
