Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Ms, Vaness G. Coronado. The study was conducted to develop an educational android game application that would serve as additional tool to enhance the learning ability and quality in Earth Science subject. Specifically, it aimed to identify the problems through interview and survey; analyze the problem using fishbone diagram; design an educational Android game application with the use of case diagram; develop the system with the use of C#, Unity, Unity Remote, and Adobe Photoshop; and evaluated through integration, acceptance, and unit testing. The system was consisted of four (4) modules: games session module, gameplay module, about module and game setting module. The Iterative development cycle was used by the researchers as the development methodology. It is consisted of five (5) phases ; planning phase, requirement phase, analysis and design phase, testing phase, and evaluation phase. The system has undergone a series of testing and evaluating to ensure the accuracy and efficiency. One hundred students and 10 IT experts evaluated the system to very functionality. The system was evaluated based on the given criteria: functionality, reliability, usability, and user-friendliness for the students and functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, portability, and user-friendliness for the IT experts. In accordance to the results of the software evaluation, large number of respondents rated the system “Excellent” which shows that the objectives and requirements of the system were met. | |
