520 3 _aThis study was conducted to determine the effect of the different animal manures on the growth and yield of carrots. This was conducted at a farmer's farm in Kayquit, Indang, Cavite from January 3, 1981, to May 30, 1981. Before sowing the seeds, dry organic fertilizer was mixed thoroughly with the soil. No sign of major pest and disease infection was observed throughout the study. The result of the study showed that for carrot, chicken manure (T₁) was the best fertilizer among the four different animal manures that were experimented. Due to its highest percentage composition of NPK and good performance on plants it outyielded all treatments. On the computed yield per hectare, it gave the highest yield in kilograms per hectare with 3,878.9 kilograms while the control obtained the lowest yield having only 1,018.6 kilograms.
