Cavite State University. June 2018: Ms. Maria Cristina L. Desepida. A case study was conducted at Phils Mansho Inc., at First Cavite Industrial Estate Brgy. Langkaan, Dasmarifias, Cavite from January 17, 2018 to March 28, 2018. It aimed to: (1) describe the profile of the company in terms of history, organization and management, quality policy statement and environmental policy; (2) describe the operations management of the company in terms of machines used and production flow; (3) analyze the operations management of the company using SWOT analysis; (4) analyze the quality management problem of each section using histogram; (5) determine the problems encountered of Philippines Mansho Inc. in terms of operations management and recommend feasible solutions. The study focused on the analysis of operations management of the company_ Data were gathered through personal interview with the staff and observation of the daily operations of the company. Other information was gathered from the existing records, manuals, handbook, and brochures. The study presented some information regarding the company history, organization and management, machines and equipment, production flow, and quality management. Descriptive method of analysis was used in analyzing the data. Philippines Mansho Inc. has been in the coating/manufacturing industry for 23 years. It has already developed the operations management practices that helped the company grow, and to make the operation stable. Philippines Mansho Inc. offers variety of car accessories and offers coating services to other companies and customer products. The strength includes the great leaders, skilled workers, and high-quality standards that result to company growth, operation stability, and satisfied customers. While areas for improvement include defective supplies, outdated machines and equipment, additional workers, and additional space for warehouse. The author recommends that the company should address the problems by organizing a monthly meeting with the customers regarding the defective supplies and renting or building a. new warehouse for the company storage for the insufficient storage space in the company. Hiring more workers will address the problem of lack of manpower when the demand for the products is high. The greatest advantage of the company is the willingness of the management staff to face changes and recommendation to grow. This can contribute very well to the continued success of the company. | |
