The study was conducted from November 2017 to May 2018 at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology, Cavite State University, Indang Cavite to develop a portable electronic plow for vegetable garden. To create an innovative working process for students and small scale farmers such as in creating beddings for seeds and other plants. Specifically, it aimed to 1. design the circuit of E-plow; 2. construct the E-plow; 3. test the design project; and evaluate the design project. This paper presents the innovated way of farming by using electronic plow as one of the tools that will be used in its process. Microcontroller plays an important role in the internal circuitry; it used Bluno Nano for the controlling system of the E-plow. plow was controlled by a smart phone via Bluetooth. The smart phone must have the application needed in order to connect with the microcontroller. It was equipped with two motor drivers that connect the microcontroller to the motors. The motor used are 12 volts wiper motor that has the capacity to move the entire vehicle and does its job. After the evaluation conducted in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology by the Industrial Technology students and instructors, the overall computed mean based on the result of the evaluation garnered a 4.56 with a descriptive rating of outstanding. This result showed that the project is highly acceptable by the different evaluators meeting quality expectation. | |
