State University selected through simple random sampling using-fishbowl technique: _The data were analyzed using the 'frequency count, percentage, mean, standard deviation, weighted arithmetic mean, and Spearman's Rank Correlation Coefficient. To determine the perception of the participants on ,the global-competitiveness of the Cavite State University as Higher Education Institution in terms of the areas of concern, ten parameters or indicators were used. The study used a five-point rating scale to determine their perception of competitiveness for the different Likert statements under each parameter and has verbal interpretation of: Very Low Competitiveness, Low Competitiveness, Average, High Competitiveness, and Very High Competitiveness respectively. Results showed that the University obtained an overall "High Competitiveness" perception from the faculty members_ In general, a perception of "High Competitiveness" was given to the university. The perceived strengths of the university are the statements that received the highest mean rating of "Very High Competitiveness" which were on VMGO, Faculty, Curriculum and Instruction, and Administration parameters. Meanwhile, the perceived weaknesses are the statements that received the lowest mean rating of "Average" which were on Physical Plant and-Facilities, and Laboratories. Results of Spearman's Rank Correlation Coefficient showed that the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the participants (age, academic rank, years of service, highest degree earned, and range of salary) does not have a significant relationship with all the parameters presented. Only the range of salary and the library showed significant relationship.
