Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2018. Adviser: For. Junser P. Magpantay. The study was conducted from October 2017 — April 2018 covering 95 barangays located within the seven municipalities and cities of Callas River Watershed namely Amadeo, Indang Tanza, Rosario, Tagaytay City, Trece Martires City, and General Trias City to assess the major agricultural crops (coconut, corn, coffee, pineapple, and rice) and commercial livestock (cattle, swine) and poultry within the watershed. Specifically, the study aimed to: (1) determine the total land area of CRW utilized for agricultural purposes, (2) identify the agricultural crops and livestock in CRW, (3) determine the productivity level of major CRW, and (5) identify the problem associated with agricultural production in CRW. The 408 participants were chosen for an actual interview using Stratified Sampling formula. ArcMap 10.2 was used to track down the locations of the major agricultural crops and livestock farms. The results showed the land area of CRW used for agricultural purposes is 4,606.78 hectares. The agricultural crops found within CRW are vegetables, leafy vegetables, spices, root crops, fruit trees and industrial crops. The livestock present art cattle, goat, duck, goose, horse, poultry, and swine. Based on 2016 data, productivity level of major agricultural crops in CRW contributes up to 29.51 percent of total crops production while productivity level of commercial livestock and poultry contributes up to 7.37 percent of total production of the province. Agricultural production in CRW is primarily affected by problems of pests, diseases, and insufficient source of water for irrigation and farm use.
