Cavite State University Indang, Cavite. June 2017. Adviser: Prof Nelia The study was conducted to determine the sustainability of multi-purpose cooperatives in Cavite. The study aimed to determine the profile of multi-purpose cooperatives in Cavite; describe the performance of cooperatives in terms of the following: governance, leadership, managerial l skills, communication, members participation, members commitment, financial structure, financial support, market environment and government policies; to determine the level of sustainability of cooperatives; and identify the problems encountered by the cooperatives in of their cooperatives. This study utilized descriptive research design. The participants of the study were managers of 72 selected multipurpose cooperatives in municipalities of Cavite. The study used simple random technique to determine the cooperatives included in the study. The cooperative profile was analyzed using mean, frequency, percentage and standard deviation. Four point Likert scale was used to measure the performance of multipurpose cooperatives in Cavite given an interpretation of very satisfactory, satisfactory, good and fair and expanded to measure the level of sustainability of multipurpose cooperatives given an interpretation of strongly sustained, =stained, moderately sustained and poorly sustained. Most of the multipurpose cooperatives in Cavite were classified as medium sized enterprise and compose of 7 to 9 members of board of directors. Most of the cooperatives were already operating for 5 to 16 years and employing 45 to 256 regular members and 10 to 215 members. Forty seven percent of the cooperatives were offering three to four services are credit and consumer services. Their main sources of capital are membership fee with a total of P118,820 to P23,711, 363 million total share capital and a total of thousand to P19,141, 222 million total assets of the cooperatives Multipurpose cooperatives in Cavite had satisfactory performance in terms of governance, leadership, managerial skills, communication, member's participation, member's commitment and financial structure while the parameters financial support, market environment and government policies had good performance. The overall performance of multipurpose *operatives in Cavite had satisfactory performance with a mean of 2.50 The level of sustainability of multipurpose cooperatives in selected municipalities Cavite had sustained level with a mean of 2.50.
