Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship Major in Crop Production. Cavite State University Indang Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Mrs. Abigail Pegollo Darla. Baguio Beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) Production Enterprise was conducted at Buna Cerca, Indang Cavite. The project started in the last week of December and ended on April 20, 2019. This was a partnership type of business managed by two student entrepreneurs. The size of the production area of the project was 302.5 square metre. The area consisted of 18 plots and a total number of 1,152 Baguio bean plants. The production was divided into 2 batches. Nine plots were transplanted in the first batch and another nine plots in the second batch. The two student entrepreneurs performed their pre-production and production activities from purchasing of supply and materials up to marketing of Baguio beans. The project was an organic production of Baguio beans. They used organic fertilisers such as Fermented Plant Juice (FPJ) which was used for plant's growth and vigour and Fermented Fruit Juice (FFJ) to induce flowering. They also used Oriental Herb Nutrient as pest repellant to control cucurbit beetle and aphids which damaged the leaves of the baguio bean plants. Baguio bean pods were harvested two weeks after flowering. Baguio bean pods were ready for harvest when they were bright green in colour, fleshy and the seeds were small. Harvesting was done everyday. The price of Baguio beans was P20.00 per '/4 kilogram. Harvests were sold at Indang National High School, Indang Public Market, Banaba Cerca and in Buna Lejos. Baguio beans were also offered and marketed through social media like facebook. The operation cost of the entrepreneurial project was amounted to P15,722.79 (22.23 percent for cost the of supplies and materials, 4.58% for the cost of tools, 62.39 percent for the cost of labour and 10.80 percent for the other costs; land, water and transportation). The entrepreneurial project sold a total of 226 kilograms of Baguio beans and earned P17,920.00. The student entrepreneurs profited a net income of P2,197.21 from the project and the Return on Investment was 13.97 percent.
