520 3 _aThe study "Response of Leafless Stem Cuttings of Adelfa to Different Levels of and Period of Soaking to Indole 3-Butyric Acid Solution" was conducted to test which of the different levels and period of soaking adelfa cuttings to IBA would effectively initiate root formation. It also aimed to determine the best concentration of IBA that would promote root and shoot growth of adelfa cuttings. The results obtained from this study revealed that the use of concentrations alone gave highly significant differences on the number of days to root initiation, number of roots and rooting percentage of cuttings. Likewise, the combined effect of the durations of soaking and the different concentrations of IBA used gave highly significant results on the number of days to root formation. Inversely, the use of the durations of soaking to IBA produced insignificant results on all parameters gathered from this study. The result further showed that the cuttings treated with 100 ppm of IBA soaked for 12 hours in the solution gave better root and shoot growth responses com-pared with the other concentrations and durations of soaking used in this study.
