The study entitled "Building Information Modeling of Science, Technology and Applied Research (STAR) Center Building at Cavite State University - Main Campus, Indang, Cavite" was conducted at Cavite State University - Main Campus from August 2020 to May 2022. The study aimed to prepare a Building Information Modelling of STAR. building. It has a total floor area of 1,359 square meters. Its highest point from the lower ground floor is 13.65 meters. The set of architectural concepts and plans was provided by Physical Planning Unit and was given under the authorization of Engr. Larry E. Rocela. The study provided Building Information Modelling including the structural plans and details, electrical plans and plumbing plans. This study served as a reference for the university for future projects. The engineering software, Autodesk Revit was used in the analysis and for the design of a STAR building and its components in 3D, annotate the model with 2D drafting elements and access building information from the building models database. The study involved two major parts, the first part is the creation of STAR building modeling through SketchUp that used to visualize the perspective, interior and exterior architectural design of the said building. The second part was the BIM using Autodesk Revit used as a 3D digital representation of physical and functional characteristic of STAR building as it served as a shared knowledge resource of different professionals for information about the facility forming a reliable basis for decisions during its lifecycle. | |
