LAKBAY An Android Mobile Application System For Cashless Payment And Covid-19 Tracing On Public Transportation Buses In The Province Of Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2022. Adviser: Julie Ann C. Lontoc . The study was conducted from November 2021 to May 2022 at Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. The main purpose of the study is to develop LAKBAY, an android mobile application that aims to implement a cashless payment system for a faster transaction of collecting fares on public transportation buses in Cavite. Additionally, the application is designed to be the easier form of contact tracing on the mentioned mode of traveling in response to the pandemic. Passengers will simply need to input their basic information and intended destination, and the information will be recorded automatically. Furthermore, the application can generate financial reports for easier daily earnings monitoring, as well as for a specific range of date. The LAKBAY program was created to improve the manual transit operations of the present system. The application will only work on smartphones and can be used on a daily basis. It has four (4) levels of access: passenger, driver, conductor, and administrator. Waterfall methodology was used as the methodology of the system. Android Studio, Visual Studio, MYSQL, XAMPP (for initial testing), and Live Server are the software programs and tools used to develop the application. The software has received an 'Excellent' remark from the 110 evaluators, which comprises 10 IT experts for the technical group and 100 non-technical persons. Functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability were the characteristics of the quality model IOS/IEC 25010 that were employed in this study. With 5 being the highest grade, the LAKBAY application scored a 4.58 and 4.59 average rating from the technical and non-technical groups respectively. This demonstrates that the software's objectives and expected outcomes were accomplished.
