This study was conducted to determine the vaccine hesitancy and level of resistance to COVID-19 vaccines among parents of children aged 5-11 years old in barangay Calumpang Cerca at Indang Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to: assess the determinants that influence the vaccine hesitancy among parents in terms of convenience, confidence, and complacency; determine the level of resistance to COVID19 vaccines among parents in terms of contextual influences, individual influences, and vaccine or vaccination-specific issues; determine any significant relationship between vaccine hesitancy and level of resistance to COVID-19 vaccines among parents of children aged 5-11 years old in barangay Calumpang Cerca at Indang Cavite; determine any significant difference between vaccine hesitancy to COVID19 vaccines among parents of children aged 5-11 years old when grouped according to their sociodemographic profile; determine any significant difference between level of resistance to COVID19 vaccines among parents of children 5-11 years old when grouped according to their socio-demographic profile. The study utilized descriptive correlational research design to 138 parents of children aged 5-11 years old in barangay Calumpang Cerca at Indang Cavite. The researchers used a purposive sampling design to one hundred thirty-eight respondents based on the preconceived qualifications. A Cross-sectional self-administered survey that was adapted and modified from the Report of the Sage Working Group on Vaccine (2014) was validated by a physician, a professional nurse, one psychologist, one clinical instructor, and a Filipino Critic and was used to determine the vaccine hesitancy and level of resistance to COVID-19 vaccines among parents of children aged 5-11 years old in barangay Calumpang Cerca at Indang Cavite. The questionnaire was divided into three parts; the first part was consisting of the socio-demographic profile of the participants, the second part included the assessment of vaccine hesitancy to COVID 19 vaccines among parents of children aged 5-11 years old and the third part was consists of the assessment of level of resistance among parents of children aged 5-11 years old. The Vaccine Hesitancy Assessment result shows the overall median score of three (X¯ =3) indicating that the parents were hesitant to vaccinate their children with COVID-19 vaccines. The Level of Resistance Assessment shows the overall median score of three (X¯ =3) indicating that parents of children are resistant to have their children vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines due to contextual influences (X¯ =3) as the parents strongly disagreed (X¯ =1) with getting their children vaccinated upon reading and hearing negative information about COVID-19 vaccines However the parents agreed (X¯ ) that the leaders in their community support COVID-19 vaccines for children. Moreover, it was found that the parents disagreed (X¯ =2) with the choices of vaccines provided by the Brgy. Calumpang Cerca, Indang Cavite. As shown in the result, the vaccine hesitancy and level of resistance among parents of children aged 5-11 years old in Brgy. Calumpang Cerca at Indang Cavite showed significant relationships. Meanwhile, there are significant differences noted on the determinants that influence the vaccine hesitancy to COVID-19 vaccines among parents of children aged 5-11 years old across categories of age, educational attainment, and monthly family income. Lastly, the level of resistance showed significant differences across categories of educational attainment and monthly family income of the parents of children aged 5-11 years old in Brgy. Calumpang Cerca at Indang Cavite.
