Adviser Prof, Josefino A, Viado This study '"Growth and Flowering Performance of Anthurium as Affected by Different Level s of Dried Cow Manure and Frequency of Application, was conducted to find the level or amount of dried cow manure and frequency of its application that will enhance the growth and f lowering Of Anthurium. This also aimed to study the interaction effect between the two factorsNinety—six anthurium plants (Kaumana Variety) were distributed in a split plot design with three replications and four treatment combinations. This study was conducted in a two—factor factorial; Factor A frequency of fertilizer application monthly every two months and Factor B — amount or level of fertilizer control, 100 g, 150 g and 200 g. Frequency of fertilizer application did not affect the general growth and f lowering of the pIants in terms of the increase in the average plant height, average leaf length and width, average number of suckers, average number of leaves, number of f lowers and its size, and number of days from planting to flowering, On the other hand, the amount of fertilizer applied increased the average plant height, average leaf length and width, average number of suckers, average number of I eaves, number of f lowers and its size, and number of days from planting to f lowering. However, the two factors did not exhibit any interaction effect. The best treatments that enhanced the growth anthurium were those plants applied with an amount of one hundred fifty grams per plant which produced heal thy and vigorous plants. | |
