Adviser: Mrs. Myrachael S. Nolasco. A field study was conducted at Brittany Corporation located at Richville Corporate Tower, Madrigal Business Park, Alabang, Muntinlupa City. It aimed to expose the student to the real world of business through actual participation in the operations of the firm; describe the organization and management, and marketing strategies of the company; and identify the problems and the plans of the firm. Data and information were gathered through interviews with some employees, observations, personal experiences, from the company manual and some relevant data were acquired from the internet. Brittany Corporation is a real estate business and the country's leading provider of unique upscale property developments. Its business started in 1993. The company is organized by functional groupings. Every department has its own policies and procedures to follow. The company employs almost 500 employees comprising supervisory, rank-and-file, managerial employees and sales agents. Brittany Corporation is engaged in real estates which sells high-end condominiums, subdivisions and leisure parks in Southern Manila; offers flexible and in-house financing promoted by different kinds of media to attract the buyers. Some marketing activities include booth manning, site manning, saturation drives, investor's night/day trade shows. During the conduct of the field study, some of the problems of the firm were observed by the trainee. In particular was the late release of commission of the agents and resignation of the employees. The company plans to build new condominiums in Quezon City, expanding Portofino, Alabang and add two leisure parks in Boracay and Puerto Azul in 2008. Field study experiences of the trainee include exposures to some activities in Marketing which include giving leaflets and brochures, site and booth manning, sending proposals, updating lot inventory and benchmarking.
