520 3 _aEthyl Alcohol is a good solvent for many organic compounds, which are insoluble in water. It is widely used for making tinctures, spirits, fluid extract for medical use, and disinfectant. Ethanol is used in medical wipes and in most common antibacterial hand sanitizer as an antiseptic. It can be made from starch crop (corn, wheat, potatoes), sugar crops (sugarcane, fruits) and cellulosic (corn stoves, wheat straw, woodchips). With the present and ever increasing demand for Ethyl Alcohol in the market, the feasibility of producing ethanol from abundant but wasted materials (sawdust) maybe a great help. This study aimed to find out the feasibility and profitability of the alcohol industry in Cavite. Specifically, the project aimed to determine the possible problems to be encountered in putting up the business and the solutions to overcome these problems; to acquire necessary information and knowledge about alcohol production; to identify all factors that might affect the business; to determine the most appropriate system on technology of producing ethyl alcohol; and to determine what components are needed in putting up this kind of business. The study was concentrated in the municipalities of Amadeo, Indang, Trece, Dasmarinas its limitations such as nature and similarity of the product to other alcohol brands and some factors affecting alcohol production. AmNuevo Manufacturing Corporation (ANMC) will produce ethyl alcohol from cellulose material, sawdust, for the benefit of many consumers in the target localities. The product will compete with the commercially available alcohol product in terms of quality and price. The raw materials that will be used by ANMC in producing alcohol are sawdust, lime, yeast, Sulfuric acid, and ammonium sulfate. ANMC will purchase sawdust from different sash factories within the target localities. The study covered five aspects such as marketing, technical, and organization, financial, and socio— economic aspect. In the marketing aspect, the selected localities and their residents were the chosen target market of ANMC. The marketing programs and strategies were developed to ensure that ethyl alcohol will be able to penetrate the market in the selected municipalities. In terms of technical aspect, quality products will be the top priority of ANMC and will adapt a total quality system to ensure the highest quality of its products and achieve the highest efficiency and utilization of its manpower and machine. With regards to organization aspect, the company will be registered under the name AmNuevo Manufacturing Corporation (ANMC), an enterprise that will engage into alcohol production. In order to provide quality products and satisfaction to customers, ANMC will hire highly competent and skilled employees. By using the measures of liquidity, solvency and profitability, the business is expected to generate huge amount of income. Meanwhile, as for socio — economic aspect, ANMC will generate different socio — economic activities to support the project of the local government and also give opportunities for unemployed people and interested investors. The findings of the study showed that the proposed project is feasible and financially viable. It is, therefore, recommended that the project be implemented as soon as possible.
