Hernadez. The study was conducted at Sta. Lucia East Commercial Corporation located at the Basement Level, Building 3 of Sta. Lucia Mall, Marcos Highway corner Felix Avenue, Cainta, Rizal. The study was conducted to analyze the performance appraisal of the employees of Sta. Lucia East Commercial Corporation. Specifically, this study aimed to determine the performance appraisal process of the company, determine management actions based on employee's performance, identify the problems encountered in implementing the performance appraisal system, and recommend solutions to problems identified. The study covered mainly the performance appraisal system of the company. The SWOT analysis of the study was limited to the techniques of performance appraisal. The performance appraisal results of the company were used to provide basis for counseling, training need analysis, and motivating employees towards higher level of work performance. While it rewards good performance, it is also the policy of the company to impose disciplinary actions to poor performers. Problems were encountered in conducting performance appraisal. Some managers who were not adequately trained to monitor, interview, and evaluate their staff had a hard time in evaluating their subordinates. In addition, they have very limited time to conduct performance evaluation due to their very busy schedule.
