Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University, Indang. October 2012. Thesis Adviser: Ms. Alma Fatima R. Reyes. This study was conducted to determine the personality types, stressors and stress coping strategies of coffee farmers in selected barangays of Tagaytay City. Specifically, it aimed to: (1) determine the type of personality do the respondents have in terms of artistic, conventional, enterprising, investigative, realistic and social personality; (2) determine the stressors of the respondents in terms of internal and external stressors; (3) determine the stress coping strategies do the respondents use between problem-focused coping and emotional-focused coping strategies; (4) determine the relationship between personality types and stressors; (5) determine the relationship between personality types and stress coping strategies; and (6) determine the relationship between stressors and stress coping strategies. Descriptive-correlational research design was used in the study. There were 240 randomly selected coffee farmer who participate here include in the research. The statistical analysis employed were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, Pearson-R, Spearman Rank and Chi-square. Results revealed that almost all of the coffee farmers possess not just one type of personality but a combination of two or more personality types. Moreover, the results show that the respondents have a low level percent of being stress in both internal and external stressors. This means that internal stressors and external stressors could not completely affect the individual to experience stress. The results also show that most of the coffee farmer participants used problem-focused coping strategy alone and also some are used both coping strategies. Test of relationship revealed that personality types and stressors were not significantly related, however personality types were found to be significantly related to stress coping strategies while stressors and stress coping strategies were not significantly related to each other.
